Ok, since months have passed since my first post I figure I'll need to have a catch-up post.
I had a radical hysterectomy (which I refer to as a "hystericalectomy") along with a salpingo oophorectomy. Which means that they yanked out my uterus, cervix, fallopian tubes and ovaries. This occured on September 29th... HAPPY FRIKKIN' BIRTHDAY TO ME, BABY!! The good news is that there was no lymph node involvment and I didn't need any further treatment.
I was in the hospital from that Tuesday until Saturday, and boy was I happy to get the hell out of there. Who the hell can sleep in a hospital?! People coming in and out, pokin' you with needles, tryin' to feed you, givin' you breathing treatments so you don't get pneumonia....
I had a stupid catheter in for 2 weeks. That is something I will never do again. Even if, for some reason, my bladder just falls right out of my body with a sickening, wet-sounding *thunk*, as GOD IS MY WITNESS...I will never have that supra-pubic catheter installed in me again! So medical science just better frikkin' come up with a better way.
I'm just sayin'....
